'A bottle cap to a smile'
Friday, November 10, 2017
This school year Chartwell International School joined the charity organisation project ‘A bottle cap to a smile’ in which we help local community gather the caps from the empty bottles and with the money from sales of the caps, buy the resources needed for the most vulnerable people in our society - the disabled children.

Over the past few weeks, students from our school were very diligent and collected over 10 kilograms of bottle caps. We are very proud of them and driven by great inspiration and desire to help, we will try to collect even more bottle caps in the future.

We sincerely believe that all of us individually will support the project as our small actions mean the world to others.

This week Year 5A started reading ‘The Indian in the Cupboard’ book by the British writer Lynne Reid Banks as a part of our Library lessons. It is a low fantasy children’s novel about the small plastic figure that comes to life and has many different adventures with his owner, nine year old Omri. After reading the book we will watch a movie from 1995 and compare the book and a movie.
