Cultural Week
Monday, October 23, 2017
In celebration of UN day this year, Chartwell has dedicated the entire week to international cultural appreciation. The week has been filled with field trips and fun presentations planned out by parents.

Each class had the oppurtunity to visit the African cultural museum as well as listen and take part in educational and engaging classes that explored different cultures.

Chartwell would like to thank the following parents for taking part and enriching our experience this week. Mrs. Royer for teaching year 6 about delicious French cuisine and culture, Mrs. Ghorayeb for introducing year 5 to the beauty of Syrian culture, Mrs. Costa for giving a wonderfully educational and inspiring presentation to years 4 & 5 on famous Serbian scientists and their impact on the world, Mrs. Dzamic for broadening our horizons in year 4 with Serbian poetry and literature, Mrs. Gesselmann for showing us just how much fun traditional Austrian folk songs can be and finally Mrs. Alvarez Del Arco for a fabulous presentation on Spain packed with fun games and delicious treats for years 4 & 6.

Many thanks to all for taking part this week and for our shared lunch.

Parents, children and teachers alike have all thoroughly enjoyed it and we look forward to doing it again next year!
