It is the school's policy to employ teachers with outstanding professional credentials and with relevant experience delivering the English National Curriculum. Chartwell teachers come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences but what they all have in common is a love of teaching, an empathy with their students and a commitment to their education. The average length of service of teachers is about seven years ranging from those who have served in the School almost since it was founded to those who have recently joined. There are 150 teachers in the school supported by assistants.
The atmosphere within a classroom is very much dependent on the teacher. The quality of a good teacher is in his/her personality and character as much as their qualifications and experience Our staff regularly participates in additional training and further development of teaching, communication and class-management skills. Our school is a learning community where all are involved in a continuous process of improvement and enrichment. The school is committed to fostering a positive climate for continuous learning. Continuous Professional Development (CPD) is the means by which the school is able to motivate and develop its community.
A dedicated team of non-teaching staff, ably supports the daily operation of the School.
