On 9 May, the Green School campus hosted a memorable charity event that brought together Green School and Chartwell International School in support of a shared commitment to community impact.
Set within the unique natural surroundings of the campus, the day unfolded as a carefully curated experience led by students from both schools. The grounds were transformed into a vibrant open-air charity fair, where stalls offered a rich variety of arts and crafts, floral arrangements, handmade items, and a Green Market showcasing fresh vegetables grown by students and staff. Each contribution and purchase carried a deeper purpose, turning everyday interactions into meaningful acts of support.
One of the highlights of the day was the appearance of internationally acclaimed singer and songwriter Yasmin Levy, whose performance captivated the audience and added a special atmosphere to the event.
With approximately 1,000 guests in attendance, the event achieved outstanding success. Through the collective generosity of the school communities, a significant sum was raised and subsequently doubled by the schools before being donated to the Institute for the Health Protection of Mother and Child of Serbia.
Thanks to this support, all funds raised during the event were donated to the Institute for Maternal and Child Health Care of Serbia “Dr Vukan Čupić” in Belgrade. The collected funds have been used to purchase equipment and technology for hospital rooms, helping provide children with greater comfort, entertainment, and distraction during their stay and treatment.
Beyond its fundraising impact, the event reflected the ethos at the heart of both schools: a commitment to compassion, responsibility, and active global citizenship. Initiatives such as Children to Children continue to nurture a culture in which students are encouraged to understand their role in supporting others and contributing meaningfully to society.
Following the event, our Wellbeing Ambassadors, accompanied by the Heads of School and school counsellors, visited the Institute to personally deliver the donation. This encounter offered students a profound opportunity to witness the real-world impact of their efforts and to further strengthen their understanding of empathy, service, and community responsibility.
