Our Year 5 and Year 6 students brought the "Twelve Dancing Princesses" to life on stage at the "Duško Radović" Theatre on April 29th, with an enchanting performance.
Inspired by the classic fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm, the play brought to life a magical story of kings, queens, princesses, knights, and court ladies. Through a lively combination of acting, dancing, and singing, students captivated the audience and transformed the stage into a world of mystery and imagination.
Performing on a large, professional stage was a rare opportunity and a significant challenge. Many students faced stage fright, but with determination and the support of their peers and teachers, they rose to the occasion, gaining confidence with every scene and truly embracing the experience.
This production was the result of months of dedication and teamwork. Throughout the school year, students attended weekly drama classes, developing their skills and creativity. In the two months leading up to the performance, rehearsals intensified as they worked carefully on every detail.
What made this project especially meaningful was the students’ involvement beyond acting. In addition to performing, they helped create costumes and scenery and assisted the director behind the scenes. This gave them a deeper understanding of theatre and a true sense of ownership over the production.
We are incredibly proud of the commitment, bravery, and enthusiasm our students demonstrated. Their hard work resulted in a memorable performance that celebrated not only their talents but also their readiness to embrace a challenge and truly shine.
