Chartwell follows Cambridge program of studies but with an international approach. The school’s skills-based education teaches students to learn and adapt to whatever situations they will face in life, rather than simply remembering facts. Programs of Study outline what is to be taught and although you can ask to see these, they are available online at

Candidates for admission to Chartwell International School will be placed by age and school history. Once you have provided the School with the date of birth of your child and the intended date of admission your child’s grade/year will be confirmed. If your child's current placement is different to the one our age groups policy suggests, the Chartwell Counseling Team will meet to give their recommendation. This decision will be communicated to the parents via the School Secretary or in person if at school.

Secondary: Most students use our school bus services or public transportation. However, some parents drive their children to school themselves.

All Secondary students are required to take an oral English placement test. Further details will be provided by the School Secretary once a complete set of application papers has been received.

It would be in the best interest of the child if the placement was performed at the beginning of the school year. However, keeping in mind that we are an international school and that sometimes there is reason for moving abroad during the year, if your child has been accepted at our school, the starting date is irrelevant in the sense that even if you apply in the middle of the school year we will be ready to accommodate your child

When applying for a place at Chartwell International School the family is provided with forms that need to be completed. Questions regarding medical details are included, please fill them in accordingly providing any necessary documentation to support them.

Chartwell International School provides a comprehensive English as a Second Language (ESL) course. Many of our children do not speak English when they arrive and our teachers are specially trained in helping them adjust to their new environment.

Children with specific learning needs are addressed on case to case basis.

At Chartwell International School meals are not included in the school fee. However, we do have a catering service providing a hot meal and the menu is offered at the beginning of each month.

Chartwell has a wide-ranging activity program which is open to all students. Music, Art, Craft, Sports, Fencing, Dance, Chess, etc. We are constantly looking at children’s needs and exploring new opportunities.

Since Chartwell is accredited as an International School by the Serbian Ministry of Education, all graduates are eligible for enrolment.

Graduates of Chartwell have joined universities all over the world.

The school day at Chartwell ends at 3 p.m. (Foundation and Primary) and 3.30 p.m. at Secondary School. However, after school activities and supervised care/study are an option until 5 p.m.
