Last week our Year 1A pupils were given a task to complete on tropical rainforests as part of our Science unit of Animals and their Families.
Throughout this unit, students had learned about where we can find rainforests, layers of the rainforest, and animals that were found there. Towards the end of this Unit, students were asked to participate in making their very own Diorama rainforests built from different materials.
Did you know:
Rainforests are located near the Earth's equator, where it is moist and humid and also where it rains all year round. There is no dry season due to the ecosystem. Rainforests are so dense that it takes 10 minutes for raindrops to fall from the Canopy layer to get to the rainforest ground floor!
