Year 5 have been very busy this term having fun with grammar, learning how to make our writing more engaging and effective and improving our reading comprehension skills. (commas for lists)
As well as playing games in the lessons, we have also been working together in teams, using a lot of detective, diagnostic and deduction skills (alliteration) to work out how more complex grammar structures work - and this was one example! Who knew grammar could be fun? (rhetorical question)
Now, we have started to put everything together to include in our descriptive writing. We have begun creating powerful setting descriptions that convey different atmospheres. (relative clause)
