“The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education.” - Martin Luther King, Jr.
The following reasons are why I as a mother of two former Chartwell students are recommending CIS to the parents from the international community.
1. The School Atmosphere
There is a high-spirited atmosphere at the Chartwell International School of Belgrade that encourages at each student a strong character, sense of duty, great responsibility anddeep respect for knowledge. “Doing right” is expected and achieved. All of this is possible because of loving and motivated teachers who put a strong emphasis on students’ wellbeing. The Chartwell goal to provide a caring environment tailored to the academic and personal needs of each child is implemented throughout each day.
2. The Academic Excellence
The Chartwell International School curriculum is based on the British National Curriculum that produces outstanding results all around the world. The school is accredited as an international school and an examination center by Cambridge and by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of Serbia.
3. The Character Development
In the school is evident that they (staff and teachers) are dedicated in defining students character as well as teaching them doing right apart from outside influences. Their goal for training character is to produce young people who desire to do right on their own.
4. Petite School Environment
The average teacher/student ratio is lower than the typical Serbian school. This allows for more individual attention and tutoring, and it also gives Chartwell a personal touch. Many of the large-school problems are eliminated, and their location on a quiet Dedinje environment adds the essential safety parents look for in a school.
5. Involved & Qualified Faculty
Their teaching staff is known as dedicated. All of them are truly passionate when knowledge is the issue and they strive to pass that love on to their students. All Chartwell teachers are college graduates and have been trained in handlingthe British International Curriculum. In Chartwell they do believe in informed parents. Their teachers want you to know what you can do to help, and they communicate through Parent/Teacher Meetings, memos, and newsletters on a regular basis.
And for the end, as a mother of my sons classmates wrote:
“…it feels secure when you, as a parent feel that your child is in a good school and in good hands”.
Sincerely,
