This week was very special because F2 children have had their first outing. We have visited the African Museum and had a wonderful time there.
We have seen amazing African art, sculptures, painting, masks, photos and we have learned that even a boat can be a work of art. There was a beautifully decorated boat with letters and different colours that was an inspiration for the children to create their own beautifully decorated boats.
Ms Maria and Ms Milica told us about the fascinating sculptures and pictures that we saw and they also told us an interesting story about how the turtle got the patterns on its shell. They had a lot of questions for the children and were amazed by how observant the children were. The two ladies who work at the museum especially liked the African song that the children sang, Kye Kye Kule. They also helped us make a big painting/sculpture that you can see in the Meerkat changing room.
