This was another fun autumn week in F2. Inspired by the things the children have collected during their autumn walk, the children have done the Sink or Float Experiment with the seeds, fruit and leaves from our collection.
They have also looked at our pumpkin seeds planted last week to see if they have started growing and were surprised to see signs of new life, the first signs of new sprouts showing. Of course, growing pumpkins will take some time so the children are learning that one of the most important requirements for a good gardener is patience!
Since this week the children have learned about the Life Cycle of Oak Trees, one of the things they have talked about was the difference between evergreen and deciduous trees.
Having learned so much about plants, next week F2 children will learn about Animals in Autumn.
