In Second Term Maths, we have been quite busy discussing the topic of 3D shapes. We have compared two different groups of shapes, 2D and 3D shapes, so that children can differentiate between them. We also looked at their attributes.
For one of the activities, children were asked to make a shape of their choice from plasticine and colored popsicles sticks, based on the shapes
we discussed in class. Children seemed to enjoy making shapes and most of the students chose to build a cube.
Once we finished, children went to lunch and discussed 3D shape attributes with the rest of their peers during the lunch break.
It was a very productive class for Year 1A!"
