Spring is the time of the year when Upper Primary students take full advantage of the school grounds, running around and playing games, but also getting their hands dirty while learning.
Year 5 and 6 students have taken up a new challenge to become green-fingered gardeners. What a great way to reconnect with nature and develop environmental awareness!
A patch of land has been set aside to be a vegetable garden, full of lettuce, carrots, radish, chard, dill and much more. Students have made the first step planting seeds.
They have taken on this responsibility and in the next couple of weeks they will, to the best of their ability, take care of their plants, regularly watering them and carefully removing weeds.
Their gardening journey will conclude with a festive, healthy and delicious organic snack.
We are excited to reap what we shall sow.
