A school visit to Viminacium, the ancient Roman archaeological site in Serbia, proved to be an extraordinary and educational adventure for Year 5 and Year 6 students. Nestled amidst picturesque landscapes, the ruins of Viminacium offered a glimpse into the life of ancient Romans. The day was filled with excitement as the young learners delved into history while having heaps of fun.

The journey began with awe-inspiring remains of grand Roman structures, with students marveling at the well-preserved mausoleum. Students were captivated by stories of Roman customs, and daily life in this once-thriving city.

Taking a step even further back in time, students marveled at the mammoth remains, envisioning life a million years ago when these giants roamed the earth.

The visit concluded with a lifelike replica of a Roman villa, reminiscent of typical Pompeii dwellings. Here, students had the chance to rest in the villa's gardens by a tranquil fountain, embracing the Roman lifestyle.

The school visit to Viminacium left a lasting impression on our students, making history come alive for these young explorers. It was a day filled with learning, wonder, and excitement that will stay with them for years to come.
