Welcome to a press kickoff with us in Year 3B. Our first geography lesson was about maps. When people draw maps, they draw them much smaller than the area of land or sea the maps show.

Maps are nearly always drawn to scale. We know that different scales are used to draw different types of maps for example a globe and an atlas are small-scale maps showing huge areas in very little detail. A map of a city would be a large-scale map because of the small area it is showing in great detail. Here we are looking at different types of maps; a world map, a map of Serbia, a map of Belgrade, a globe, and an atlas. All you need is the plan, the road map, and the courage to press on to your destination. Where will these maps take us and who would use these types of maps?
