We are proud to present another series of interesting psychological experiments done by students at Year 11. This time, the focus was on social psychology.
One student has investigated the role of eye contact in face-to-face communication and social norms that follow it. It turns out that eye contact provides a lot of information during the conversation, and people most often experience lack of eye contact as somewhat problematic.
Another student has investigated the transgenerational differences in romantic relationships. The findings were interesting, it would appear that young people today enter long-term relationships at a later age than before.
The students have shown a lot of creativity in these projects, and their hard work has been noticed and rewarded. Special thanks to Mia, Dragana and Sofia for their proactive approach to the science of psychology.
