Year 7 students learned about the concepts of area and perimeter.
For students to understand the concepts of area and perimeter after a whole-class discussion, they were assigned out-door activities to find and measure various shapes on their own. Divided in groups and equipped with measuring rulers and tapes, year seven students searched for squares, rectangles, triangles and compound shapes on the school grounds and then they measured, calculated and recorded their results.
