By completing the analysis of the "Dubliners", Chartwell International Secondary School A-level literature students returned from their journey through the everyday life of primarily lower middle class of Dublin painted in the brutally honest and unflattering way by James Joyce.
The author himself has proven the controversy of some of the stories by having written, the today famous words, to the publisher, " I seriously believe that you will retard the course of civilization in Ireland by preventing the Irish people from having one good look at themselves in my nicely polished looking glass."
