During this week year 10 sociology students learned about the unstructured interview as one of the sociological research methods. Even though it is a
proper sociological method, the interview resembles an informal conversation!
The topic covered that year 13 has been focusing on is how culture can influence educational achievement. This can take two forms: how we focus on seeking pleasure in the moment (immediate gratification) or delaying pleasure for future reward (deferred gratification).
