Our Year 7, 8, and 9 students from Chartwell and Green School attended a special cultural event held at Kolarčeva Zadužbina (Kolarac Foundation) in Belgrade. The event was part of the ongoing educational series titled “How to Listen to a Concert / Little School of Etiquette.”
The programme featured a performance of the children’s opera “Hansel and Gretel,” adapted from the well-known German fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm. This opera, also known by its original German title Hänsel und Gretel, served as an ideal introduction to the world of classical music and opera for our students.
Throughout the event, students learned about the basics of concert etiquette — when and why to applaud, how to behave appropriately in a concert hall, and how to read and understand a concert programme.
