In October, year 7 and year 8 learned about different substances andmixtures and discovered a range of methods to identify them. Students enjoyed doing experiments in lab, while increasing self-confidence in using lab equipment and applying knowledge they got.
We just love Museum Day! On Wednesday, October the 3rd, Chartwell students visited four different museums and cultural institutions.
Serious or funny? Thought-provoking or entertaining? Cautionary tale is a true puzzle our year 7 students are trying to solve. Their venture of putting together rhyming lines of eight syllables, while carefully selecting words and phrases, results in tales which convey a powerful message. Sounds difficult? It might be, but the outcome is nothing short of rewarding for both the writers and their respective readers.
September is the start of the year and the time for various auditions – an audition for the school choir took place as well as the audition for Poetry Night.
On 25 September, students taking German attended the Open Day at the Austrian Embassy – they talked to the Cultural attache regarding possibilities of studying in Austria, but they also had an opportunity to enjoy some cakes and coffee.
