Futures & Careers Advising at Chartwell
At Chartwell International School, our careers advising programme ensures every student receives high-quality, individualised support as they prepare for life beyond school. The majority of our secondary school students go on to secure places at their first-choice universities or career destinations, both in the UK and internationally.
Dedicated Careers Advisers work closely with students throughout their final years. We provide personalised one-to-one guidance to support university applications through UCAS as well as an expanding portfolio of international pathways, many featuring courses taught in English. Our focus is on helping each student navigate their options with confidence, clarity and purpose.
Careers education is embedded throughout the PSHE curriculum across the Secondary School. In Years 10 and 11, students complete a dedicatedProfessional Orientation programme, followed by an individual report and consultation to explore academic and career paths aligned with their strengths and aspirations.
Through our partnershis with international consulting and careers advisory services, we bring professional insight and impartial expertise into the process, regularly hosting specialist workshops, guest speakers, live sessions, webinars, and more.
With the increasing influence of AI in university admissions and recruitment, we place a strong emphasis on building genuine interpersonal and communication skills. Confidence-building workshops, mock interviews, work experience opportunities and structured support for gap year planning all form part of the programme. Students also attend our annual University Fair, engaging directly with internatinoal representatives from a wide range of institutions and industries.
We believe that navigating the future is a collaborative jounery. Parents are actively involved through regular drop-in sessions and information evenings for families in Years 11, 12 and 13, ensuring a shared understanding of opportunities and how best to support students at every stage.
Our aim is to ensure every Chartwell graduate leaves equipped with the guidance, skills and self-belief they need to make informed choices and thrive in the next stage of their journey.
